    Hi Karen,

I did reply to your post in the other forum thread yesterday: https://updraftplus.com/forums/support-forum-group1/paid-support-forum-forum2/cant-update-after-purchase-thread28.1/#postid-295

Anyway, I’ll send it to you!

    Best wishes,

    Hi

I hope this is the right place to post. I just bought the Migrator plugin. I can’t find instruction on the best way to get the backup to my computer. I was hoping that there would be an option to download the zip files directly from the WP admin panel to my computer but it doesn’t seen like that exists.

Also it seems that there is no advantage to adding the paid migrator plugin to the site that you are migrating from. Is that true? The free version works just as well and you can add the paid plugin to the installation that you are migrating to?

    Thanks very much
    David

    Hi David,

Please can you post new forum topics instead of tacking on to existing ones? It gets a bit confusing when a forum topic contains several different peoples’ issues!

Do this by clicking on the big blue ‘Restore’ button; then click on the entity that you want to download to your computer.

Yes – the Migrator add-on does it’s work on the ‘destination’ side of the migration. It doesn’t do anything on the source side, so installing it there is redundant (and harmless).

    Best wishes,
    David

Thank you very much. I know it’s probably obvious but I couldn’t find the “post new topic” button. I tried a migration and it worked great!
