I’m setting up a new website with GoDaddy. I’m on my current (old) website, and I clicked on my UpdraftPlus migrate button, and it’s asking for a Site Key. TechSupport at GoDaddy says they don’t have site keys.

I’m having trouble getting the ftp credentials from my (canceled) previous website host.
Is there a way to use UpdraftPlus Vault on my premium account to migrate to a new website?

Suggest you ask for a refund as the package is unsuitable for your needs!

    Good luck!

    Hi Marvin,

The site key is generated by UpdraftPlus, to connect two sites for the direct site-to-site migration.

UpdraftPlus also has several alternative methods to migrate a site. These can be found in our migration guide:

If using Vault, you will need to download the files from your Vault, then upload them to the site via UpdraftPlus (as shown in the guide).

    Best Wishes,
    David N
