    Hi!

When I restored the backup I got with the UpdraftPlus backup, some of the files under “wp-content” had the owner/group changed.
Is it possible to restore without changing the owner/group of the files?
Version is 2.16.26.24, All addons are applied.

    The steps I took
    1. Backup all data with UpdraftPlus backup
    2. Restore all data using 1.
    3. Some files have different owner/group

Perhaps, since the backup data is compressed with zip, I think that this information is not retained, so restore using the data backed up using the third party plugin (BackWPUp) compressed with tar.gz I tried to.

I got an error on the way.

    The steps I took
    1. Upload the backup data of BackWPUp to UpdraftPlus
    2. Make sure you are in the existing backup window and press restore
    3. Check all the components you want to restore and click Next
    4. There is an error on the screen
PHP Fatal error (Error) has occurred during restore_alldownloaded subaction.Error Message: Class'UpdraftPlus_Archive_Tar' not found (Code: 0, line 238 in /home/kusanagi/only1_test/DocumentRoot/wp-content/plugins/updraftplus/addons/morefiles. (php)

    Hi,

I’m afraid that UpdraftPlus is not currently able to retain the file ownership/group of restored files.
I will pass this on to our developers as a suggested feature.
You can also request this feature via our Feature Requests page: https://updraftplus.com/feature-requests/

UpdraftPlus is also unable to process .tar files at this time.

    Apologies for the inconvenience.

    Best Wishes,
    Dee
