Hi there,
I’m trying to migrate my entire site to a staging site as a test run just in case anything catastrophic happens to my main website.
Here’s my staging site: https://monkey-media-staging.com/
Here’s my original website: https://www.utilitymagazine.com.au/As you can see my entire media library has failed to migrate. I tried unzipping the entire backup and uploading just the wp-content file via FTP, but it wants me to add the files one by one.
I also tried zipping the media library back up again so I could upload it via FTP and then unzip it inside cpanel. However, I can’t re-zip the file as there are characters in the names of my image files that are not allowed to be zipped.
The host of my staging site is siteground
What am I missing here? How do I get my media library onto my staging site?
Thanks in advance

Can you please send us a copy of the migration log?
You can find this log in the ‘wp-content/updraft’ directory of your new site location.
You can send the log file as an attachment or copy the contents into an online tool (such as https://pastebin.com/ )Regards,

Just while you’re here, could you check out this log that also failed. It says it’s 1.4mb though so I can’t upload it
Is there another place I can send it?
June 20, 2019 at 1:52 pm #402367Bryle CroduaModeratorHi,
Thanks for sending the log.
I have found this warning message in the log:
0041.570 () Warning: the database’s site URL (https://monkey-media-staging.com/) is different to what we expected (https://utilitymagazine.com.au)Did you ticket the search and replace database when migrating site? The search and replace database will automatically replace old URLs with the new URL. If that is not ticked then it will cause broken links to the images on your site. However, we have written a blog on how to fix it here – https://updraftplus.com/faqs/migrated-site-searchreplace-database-can-now/

Sorry for the late reply, but I have been installing a fresh install of WordPress on my site, etc.
I’m 100% sure I was selecting the replace database option. Now I’ve done the following steps:
1) Backed up EVERYTHING from my parent site to Google Drive
2) Installed WordPress fresh on my new site. Installed UpdraftPlus, connecting my premium login
3) Connected Updraft to Google Drive
4) Went into the migrate/clone tab and selected ‘restore an existing backup set onto this site’Now I’m not getting the option to migrate the database: https://prntscr.com/o66o3k
Am I missing something here?
June 24, 2019 at 11:56 pm #403852sam.pennyParticipantI was getting an error message, but now I’m waiting on this: https://prntscr.com/o66oz7
June 26, 2019 at 5:29 am #404228sam.pennyParticipantI also had 100 folders created that were the same name as my Drive file path. The current path is:
Production/Backups/Utility
It created multiple files called ‘Production’ and multiple files called ‘Backups’ on my drive
Any help appreciated

“Now I’m not getting the option to migrate the database: https://prntscr.com/o66o3k”
> Please make sure that you have UpdraftPlus Migrator add-on installed. The plugin version should start with 2.x.x.x and the last number should not be 0. It should either be 1 or 24 as the last digit represents the number of add-ons installed.“I also had 100 folders created that were the same name as my Drive file path. The current path is:”
> I would suggest your wipeout settings in the “Advance Tools” tab and then re-setup remote storage.Regards,

I have the correct version: https://prntscr.com/o7rmx3
I’m connected: https://prntscr.com/o7rn2r
Anything I’m doing wrong?
July 2, 2019 at 3:28 am #406320sam.pennyParticipantHi there,
I haven’t seen a response on this. Would you please be able to update me. I registered for the premium version but it hasn’t been able to migrate my site at all.
I don’t even have the option to migrate any more
Can you send me a link to the plugin to download and I will uninstall it and reinstall and see if that helps
July 2, 2019 at 3:41 am #406322sam.pennyParticipantI’ve just followed the link on this page (https://updraftplus.com/support/installing-updraftplus-premium-your-add-on/) in order to install the correct version of the plugin
However, now it’s giving me version: 2.16.15.0
You said it should end in .24 or .1, but the version from the article ends in .0. My previous version ended in .24
I still can’t access the migrate database option!
July 2, 2019 at 12:49 pm #406481Bryle CroduaModeratorHi Sam,
Apologies for the late reply.
You should be getting a .0 as the file you downloaded is just the base file. You need to connect the plugin to our license server to be able to activate the add-ons based on the license you have.
To connect to our server, go to UpdraftPlus “Premium/Extensions” tab and enter your username and password.

Thanks for your response. I’ve done as instructed – I now have version 2.16.15.24, as I did before. However, the migrate option still does not show up: https://prntscr.com/o9vch5
July 3, 2019 at 7:28 pm #407118Bryle CroduaModeratorHi,
Apologies for the confusion.
The search and replace database function has already been moved to the next page. See step 5 of our migration guide here – https://updraftplus.com/faqs/how-do-i-migrate-to-a-new-site-location/
