Dee NutbourneModeratorHi @Holger,
From our records, it appears that your licenses are not ready to renew. You still currently have an unlimited license (The change in the product has not affected older orders/licenses).

Dee NutbourneModeratorHi,
Our apologies for the inconvenience.
The missing download links are currently being investigated by our lead developer.
In the meantime, a download link is available from the installation guide:

@Holger Lenzdorf, From our records, it appears that your licenses are not ready to renew. The coupon is only valid 4 weeks before to 6 weeks after the expiry date. Your licenses are not scheduled to expire for 8 weeks. The renewal coupon will work with any UpdraftPlus package.
Regarding the pricing change, I can pass on your feedback to our management team.
Apologies again for the inconvenience.

Bryle CroduaModeratorHi Pieter,
UpdraftPlus Premium license needs manual renewal as it is not a subscription based product. There is nothing to cancel in this case.

phaijenParticipantHi,
Actually no, I just want to cancel my updraftplus license so it won’t auto renew next week. Please let me know where to find it because it’s really not obvious to me (maybe it’s me).
Thanks!

Apologies for the inconvenience.
I have updated your licenses to correctly reflect your renewal.

Bryle CroduaModeratorHi Marcus,
It appears that our licencing server did not recognise your purchase as a renewal.
I have adjusted your licences so it will now expire 2019-06-17.Please note that our pricing tier recently changed. Rather than the ‘Developer’ package, we now offer a 35 site license (‘Agency’) and an unlimited ‘Enterprise’ package. As such, I’m afraid that the cost of the unlimited package has risen since last year.
To upgrade, please use the coupons that we have here – https://updraftplus.com/faqs/are-there-coupons-available-for-discounted-upgrades/
We also have published an article about the changes in our packages prices here – https://updraftplus.com/new-product-names-new-pricing-for-35-sites-new-features/

Dee NutbourneModeratorHi Mary,
From our records, it appears that your latest purchase was for the 2-site personal package, rather than the Unlimited package that you had purchased before.
I can see that you currently have 3 sites connected to your licenses. If you only require 2 licenses, could you let me know which sites to move to the renewed licenses?
If you require more licenses, please could you contact us via our customer support form, and we can refund the latest purchase so you can renew the needed package.

David NMay 10, 2018 at 12:47 pm #280320KermitParticipantVia an email – here is what it showed. https://imgur.com/a/KY86Nw3 – and no, it doesn’t mention any license changes in the email or when I clicked on the renewal.
Keep in mind, I already had a purchased the tier for unlimited licenses – ethically (if not legally – as I can’t speak to that) it is wrong of your company to downgrade customers in that manner. I’ve renewed faithfully for two years now. Why did your company think it could make such a change?
How would you react if your internet provider sold you your internet connection with unlimited bandwidth (in writing) and then decided to change it one year so that your plan now only gave you the first 35gigs and you had to upgrade to a more expensive plan?
This is what you’re doing to your customers. You sold customers like myself an unlimited plan, then unilaterally changed it to a 35 user plan.

May 10, 2018 at 11:03 am #280302Dee NutbourneModeratorPlease could you let me know the method that you used to renew (e.g. via a renewal link emailed to you, manually via the shop with a coupon, etc)?
We have recently changed the pricing tiers for UpdraftPlus Premium. When renewing (as you have over 35 sites connected), you should have been shown a notice regarding this, and recommended the Enterprise package.
As you were not informed of the change at time of renewal, I have extended the unlimited license now.

Dee NutbourneModeratorHi Kermit,
As you were not informed and were fully aware of the pricing tier changes before your renewal purchase, I have renewed your full unlimited license.
Please could you let me know the method that you used to renew your license? It appears that one of the paths is not showing the required information.
Apologies for the inconvenience.

Dee NutbourneModeratorHi Kermit,
Apologies, I believe that my colleague misunderstood that you have already renewed.
The Developer package is now for 35 site licenses only, while the unlimited license has been moved to the Enterprise license.
Please may I ask what method you used to renew (i.e. through the My Orders page, via a renewal link sent via email, etc)?
You should have been recommended the new unlimited product for the renewal before the purchase was finalised. It appears that one of the renewal paths is not correctly set up.I’m also going to consult with my manager, and see what I can do for you.

KermitParticipantI would assume that you could tell from someone purchasing a developer or other unlimited license that this would be the case.
Ok – so if there’s been no downgrade, then why won’t the renewal message go away? Is this a problem with the license like other people have been reporting here?

KermitParticipantI just got this email from you…
Currently you actually have more used more 35 licences and as mentioned we no longer offer unlimited license for the Agency (previously Developer) package. Our unlimited license is now being offered in the Enterprise tier package.
At the moment, only 35 active licenses were extended for another year. You will see this if you login to your Updraftplus.com account and go to ‘My Licences’ page.
So now I’m finding out that the unlimited license I purchased was downgraded to a limited license? I’ve renewed regularly and previously been a happy client.
My purchase, which still shows on my account, says I have UNLIMITED licenses.
“Premium – the whole package (all add-ons, upgrades, support) – Developer (unlimited sites)”
You do understand that this purchase is a contract between you and myself. Contracts aren’t normally revised by party side to the disadvantage of the other party. Contracts are revised by mutual agreement.

KermitParticipantYou send emails – that should be sufficient. Your approach here is valuing your renewal marketing over everything else.
I can suggest several better approaches here.
1. Only show messages in admin where the plugin is licensed to an individual.
2. Allow an opt-out of the messages on the account here so they’ll be suppressed on all client sites. Finally – part of this ignores the bug I mentioned in that the message won’t dismiss or close. Also, that the message is showing, even today after I renewed days ago.

Dee NutbourneModeratorHi Sandi,
Yes, this is possible.
When it comes time to renew, purchase the 2 site license package with the ‘fortyoffrenewal’ coupon code.
Then, contact us via our support form, and let us know which sites you wish to keep connected to the license.
